Hello, my name is Makayla! In my teen years, my dad would teach me how to bake cakes from the box and then from scratch, how to be patient, and that being a perfectionist doesn't belong in the kitchen, because mistakes happen and you can always continue to try again. So I would bake a lot, and the more I did, the more I noticed the joy it would bring to others that would eat my creations and I love that feeling. As I got older, i realized I'm lactose intolerant. So I did what anyone else would do, of course and learned how to bake vegan-based goods. I went through trial and error over and over again, and certain desserts like vegan cheesecake; I'm still working on, and I will continue to do so for myself, as well as all of my lactose-intolerant friends out there. I believe that vegans and lactose-intolerant people deserve to Never Skip Dessert. When this bakery became my dream, I stopped baking cakes/cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and even cookies as often; and I started baking brownies more. I noticed how rare a good brownie is , whether fudged or cakey they're nonexistent in the bakery world; especially vegan ones, so I wanted brownies to be my niche, everyone sells cupcakes, and cookies even vegan ones. Throughout my brownie journey, I originally developed a menu of 15 different types of brownies, implementing mango, watermelon, horchata and oreos. Out of the 15 different flavors, I narrowed it down to my top 5 , including my spectacular speculoos brownie which is a "blondie" with Biscoff spread mixed in or my very own Strawbie, which is a strawberry brownie.
